‘RHOSLC’ Star Jen Shah Focus Of Hulu Documentary

Jen Shah’s arrest playing out on Bravo show
Back in March, the reality TV world was rocked by a huge scandal when RHOSLC star Jen Shah was arrested. Along with her assistant, she was charged with fraud-related crimes. Allegedly, the reality star headed up a telemarketing scheme that preyed on the elderly.
Season 2 of the Bravo show was filming at the time the feds were looking for Shah. While the camera crew didn’t film the actual arrest, they captured the drama leading up to it. While her co-stars were waiting for their bus to leave for Vail, cops and the FBI swarmed nearby.
Jen Shah had been on the bus ten minutes earlier but left after getting a mysterious phone call. She told the other women that her husband was in the hospital with internal bleeding. However, it’s widely believed that her husband was the one on the phone, tipping her off that Homeland Security, the FBI, and the NYPD were all looking for her.
The bus did eventually leave, sans Jen. The remaining RHOSLC stars speculated that Shah was on the run, and later found out that she was arrested.
Jen Shah has pleaded not guilty to the charges and continues to profess her innocence. She is free on bail pending trial next year.
Housewife & The Hustler investigation in RHOBH‘s Erika Jayne a hit for Hulu
Jen Shah is certainly not the first Real Housewives star to find herself in legal trouble. RHONJ star Teresa Giudice and her then-husband Joe Giudice both served time in prison for fraud.
Additionally, RHOBH‘s Erika Jayne is at the center of several lawsuits. While she has yet to face charges, Jayne is accused of colluding with her husband to bilk his law firm clients of their settlement money. Allegedly, Tom Girardi and Erika Jayne used the settlement money to fund their lavish lifestyle.
Like Jen Shah, Erika Jayne claims to be innocent of the allegations.
In June, Hulu dropped a documentary into the allegations against the RHOBH star. The Housewife & The Hustler was an ABC News Original programming airing exclusively on Hulu.

On the success of the Erika Jayne docu, ABC News is setting their sights on Jen Shah. A new investigative documentary explores the allegations against the RHOSLC star, and includes interviews with her former designer Koa Johnson, among others.
Johnson was on the receiving end of an expletive-filled rant from the Bravolebrity. Audio of the incident went viral on social media shortly before her arrest.
The Housewife & the Shah Shocker will be available to stream Nov. 29 on Hulu, per People magazine.
