Saints and Sinners first dropped on Bounce TV in 2016 and is a melodramatic mystery set against the backdrop of a Georgia Baptist church. The series soon became Bounce TV’s breakout show, with its second episode drawing 1.5 million viewers. The network soon declared the show a “smash hit” and it has run over five seasons so far. However, when will Season 6 of the popular series drop on Bounce TV? Read on to find out what we know so far.
Saints and Sinners Season 6 on Bounce TV
The Bounce TV series Saints and Sinners has remained a solid offering over the first five seasons. According to The FutonCritic, it sometimes even beat out the major networks in certain key demographics.
The show’s five seasons of eight episodes aired in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. It is likely that Saints and Sinners skipped 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, although there was a 2021 special titled Judgment Day.
So far, the series has yet to be renewed by the network for a sixth season. However, should Bounce TV renew the series – and there is every reason why they should – fans will likely see Season 6 sometime in 2022. While the network doesn’t have a lot of scripted shows on their schedule, the soap opera still seems to be going well. In fact, Bounce TV stated in a press release in late 2019 that the series has increased its viewership in later seasons. Apparently, Season 4 netted 7.1 million viewers.
Fans shouldn’t worry too much about Season 6
Viewers shouldn’t be too concerned that the show has not yet been renewed. They should bear in mind that Season 4 of Saints and Sinners was only announced in January 2019 and started airing that July.
Meanwhile, the fifth season wasn’t announced until August 2020, almost a year after Season 4 ended. While considering delays, the sixth season could arrive in the spring or summer of 2022.
Cast of Saints and Sinners Season 6
As the sixth season has yet to be announced, it is unclear which cast members will return. As with all soap operas, there is a huge cast with plenty of comings and goings. According to the official IMDb page, the cast of Season 5 included Vanessa Bell Calloway as Ella and J.D. Williams as Jabari. Meanwhile, Dawn Halfkenny played Angela, Clifton Powell played Red and Tami Roman was in the role of Felicia.
Other cast included Jasmine Burke as Christie, Gregory Alan Winters as Victor and Patrice Fisher as Stacia. Meanwhile, Karlie Redd starred as Paige, Keith Robinson as Miles and Christian Keys as Levi. Demetria McKinney starred as Tamara, Karon Riley as Malik, Tray Chaney as Kendrick and Donna Biscoe as Lady Leona.
What happened in Season 5 of the soap?
Season 5 of Saints and Sinners literally ended with a bang, with Victor getting shot during a standoff with Ella and her children. Meanwhile, Leona was caught out as the head of the organ trafficking ring. On top of this, Tamara takes over as CEO of Upsurge as Felicia leaves town.
Meanwhile, in the finale episode, Angela was carjacked and still has a secret relationship with Uncle Ray Ray. Meanwhile, Ella, who was ousted from her powerful position, has a proposition for him.
The Bounce TV show is full of deceit, greed, manipulation, corporate politics and secrets ready for the sixth season. Hopefully, we will soon be able to report on the official renewal of Season 6 of Saints and Sinners.
