Jill Dillard and Jinger Vuolo are being praised for doing things their way despite their strict upbringings. For years, 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On fans have been able to see the Duggar children grow up and become their own people. While many of the kids seem to be following in their parents’ footsteps, some are doing things differently. Fans recognize how difficult this may be for the kids, especially when this is all they have ever known.
Now, Jinger and Jill’s individuality is being recognized as they move further away from their parents’ strict beliefs. The two sisters are continuing to do what’s right for them and their own families rather than follow along with how they were raised.
Jill Dillard & Jinger Vuolo Create Their Own Lives
Over the past few years, Jill and Jinger have shown that they aren’t the same as their parents. The two Duggar daughters are obviously doing things their own way. They have both started dressing how they want to, which doesn’t always mean modest skirts and dresses. Jinger left Arkansas, while Jill has distanced herself from her family in other ways by setting boundaries.
On Reddit, Duggar Snarks are discussing the fact that Jessa Seewald seems to be one of the only family members who is following her parents’ lead. One user points out that Jinger and Jill seem to be “falling down on the job” when it comes to “popping out babies.” So far, Jill and Jinger each have two children, and they don’t appear to be going down the same path their parents did.
One user says, “I think as they get older and out in the real world they are realizing how ridiculous their upbringing was. I don’t think very many of them will be having kids into their 40’s like mummy dearest. I think Anna is the only one that would have come close. God bless the internet for making sure they aren’t as sheltered as they were growing up.”
Another speculates, “I don’t think Jeremy wants more than 3-4 kids – and he’s clearly the boss. I think Jill will only have 1-2 more. I feel like they’ve mentioned that they don’t want a million kids.”
So, are you glad to see Jill Dillard and Jinger Vuolo breaking away from Jim Bob Duggar’s strict rules? Do you think any of their siblings will follow in their footsteps? Let us know in the comments section below.
