‘Bringing Up Bates’: Carlin & Evan Tease Gender Reveal For Baby Number Two
Bringing Up Bates couple Carlin and Evan Stewart are excited to welcome their second baby to the world this spring. Now, the couple is teasing fans about the upcoming gender reveal. The couple announced their pregnancy in August and have been sharing lots of updates along the way. Sadly, Carlin’s pregnancy is high-risk due to a few disorders that she has. So, she’s been posting about her doctor’s appointments and more.
Carlin also shared that she and Evan had a hard time deciding whether they wanted to find out the baby’s gender in advance. They already have a daughter, Layla, who will turn two in January. They originally wanted to wait until the baby’s birth, but they have since changed their minds and will be finding out very soon.
So, they took to YouTube to give fans a little update. They are planning a gender reveal in a couple of weeks. Carlin admitted she wanted to have a son first but ended up having a daughter. Now this time, she doesn’t care either way. She thinks Layla would be cute with a brother or a sister.
Bringing Up Bates Stars Carlin and Evan Make Their Predictions
In the video, Carlin says that she’s 18 weeks along and will find out the baby’s gender in two weeks. So, in the meantime, the couple tries a few old wives’ tales to predict the gender ahead of time. In the video, the couple goes through a series of 10 different old wives’ tales. They try everything from swinging a ring on a strand of hair to determining whether Carlin is carrying high or low.
By the end of the video, the couple didn’t really get the answers they were hoping for. They tallied up the results of each method along the way. They found out that five methods predicted a girl and five predicted a boy. So, they didn’t really get anywhere.
Evan thinks the baby is a boy, but there’s no way to know for sure until the appointment in a couple of weeks. Fans are excited to see the couple’s big announcement soon.
