‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 9 A Wrap: When Will Hearties See Premiere?
After four months of filming, Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart has finished filming. It is a wrap! What do we know about the upcoming season? Moreover, when should Hearties expect to see the premiere.

WCTH Cast Announce Season 9 Has Finished Filming
When Calls The Heart Season 9 is a wrap. The cast has been posting all over social media, celebrating their last day on the Hope Valley set. That includes Jack Wagner on Instagram singing along with Kevin McGarry and Chris McNally. It also includes Instagram photos from Pascale Hutton and her last Season 9 scene with her on-screen partner, Kevan Smith.
Don’t forget Erin Krakow. She has shared many jubilant photos and even a video of her dancing along with McNally.
The cast and crew have spent the past four months filming, still under strict Covid rules, in bubbles, and outside as much as possible. Have they revealed much about the upcoming season?
What Do We Know About When Calls The Heart Season 9?
When Calls The Heart Season 9 is done filming. What do we know about the upcoming season? Although they are not about to give away the basic storylines yet, we can put together a few things about the upcoming season.
First of all, WCTH co-creator, Brian Bird, did go to Twitter to discuss how many episodes Hearties should expect. He wrote on July 21, “Not only did production start today on S9 of #WhenCallstheHeart… but there’s more big news: #Hearties can look forward to not 10 new eps… but 12! You spoke loudly in S8 with the best ratings in our history… so your voice has been heard!”
In addition, we know that there are a lot of scenes with Elizabeth, and Lucas, Erin Krakow and Chris McNally, respectively. That is because the two have been taking a lot of BTS photos of the two of them. As Season 8 ended with Elizabeth choosing Lucas, we should see how Hope Valley reacts to the news of the new couple. Moreover, we should be able to see how Lucas is with baby Jack.
WCTH Season 9 will likely include how Nathan (Kevin McGarry) reacts to losing out on Elizabeth’s love. However, will we see him woo another of the fine ladies of Hope Valley?
Thanks to more BTS footage, we know that the Canfields are back for another season. Natasha Burnett shared a photo on Twitter of her playing Minnie Canfield, along with Viv Leacock, who plays Joseph Canfield. She wrote, ” However, Paul Greene is not back, reprising his role as Dr. Carson Shepherd.

Will Lori Loughlin Return To When Calls The Heart?
There has been a lot of talk about Lori Loughlin. Many are asking whether she is reprising her character Abigail Stanton on When Calls The Heart. The Fuller House star is reprising her iconic character. However, it will be on When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas. This is not on Hallmark, but instead on the new network, GAC Family. This was started by ex-Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott.
As for Loughlin returning to WCTH, there seems to be some confusion on her return. But, Hallmark made it clear on Twitter that the “Hallmark Channel has not cast Lori Loughlin in any current projects, nor do we have any plans to cast her in the future. She was cast by GAC Family, a wholly separate cable network not affiliated with Hallmark Channel or Crown Media Family Network.”
Lori Loughlin will not be back for WCTH Season 9. But, you can see Lori, along with Daniel Lissing reprising his role as Jack Thornton in When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas. This premieres on Saturday, December 18, at 8 p.m. Eastern, on GAC Family.

When Will When Calls The Heart Season 9 Premiere?
Currently, Hallmark has not yet announced when they will premiere When Calls The Heart Season 9. That should happen in December, possibly January, at the latest. The new season will likely premiere in February, as it has the past few years.
