New General Hospital spoilers suggest a popular There seems opera veteran has joined the cast. As fans take in this news, everybody is wondering who he might portray.

Trevor St. John Has Plenty Of Soap Experience

The rumor is that actor Trevor St. John has joined the General Hospital cast. As his IMDb page reveals, St. John has been acting for many years, both in film and television projects. He popped up in films such as Crimson Tide and The Bourne Ultimatum, although he is probably most recognized for the years he was on One Life to Live. Since OLTL ended, he’s done quite a few other projects, including the Roswell, New Mexico series, a reboot of the former WB hit Roswell.

On OLTL, St. John played Todd Manning, although his character was eventually revealed to be Manning’s twin, Victor Lord, Jr. The idea of St. John joining General Hospital might seem almost destined, in a sense, given his OLTL history. As fans will remember, Roger Howarth (ex-Franco, Austin) played Manning on OLTL back in the day. As Franco, Howarth became intricately tied to the surprise twin twist that included Jason Morgan and Drew Cain. Could St. John end up in a similar situation on GH?

Who Will St. John Portray On General Hospital?

The reports of St. John joining the General Hospital cast come at an interesting time. The rumors have been that Ingo Rademacher (Jax) is out, and there are many signs pointing to Steve Burton (Jason) being out too. Could St. John come in as a recast for either Jax or Jason?

It seems unlikely St. John would play Jax, given what many would say is a natural time to send Jax back to Australia. The Jason possibility, however, might be something to consider. Some General Hospital fans have also suggested that St. John might be the new Jeff Webber, Elizabeth’s dad. Viewers have been clamoring for Liz’s dad to return to Port Charles for a long time now, and that’s clearly on the horizon. St. John, however, might seem too young to portray Liz’s father.

If Burton is out at General Hospital, that could present the writers with a difficult situation. The last time Burton left, Jason was presumed dead for several years. Then, Billy Miller came in as a recast. A few years later, Burton came back, and the writers twisted everything around to make Burton the “real” Jason and Miller the long-lost twin. If Burton leaves again now, what do the writers do with Jason? Another presumed death might be a stretch to pull off, but it seems a bad time to not have Jason on the canvas too.

Cameron Mathison, formerly of All My Children, has come on board as a recast for Drew Cain. The twin brothers are currently in Greece, battling Peter, and this is seemingly soon coming to a head. Drew and Jason have bonded a bit, and there’s surely a lot of brotherly interactions ahead when everybody returns to Port Charles. Will St. John take over as Jason at some point soon, allowing General Hospital to avoid another presumed death or unbelievable exit? Answers should emerge soon, and viewers will be quite curious to see who St. John is portraying on General Hospital if the casting rumors are true.

  1. I think this was the most stupid thing for this “soap” to do. I will not watch it again until they come to their senses. The “relationship” between “Sonny” and “Jason” is one of the most interesting on the show. I must confess this is the only soap that I have ever watched . Will not watch it until they come to their senses and put him back on. I will watch for him and whatever he decides to do. I think he could find something much better!
