What Is Daniel Lissing’s Role In When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas?
Back in Early October, GAC Family announced that Daniel Lissing would join Lori Loughlin in When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas. Very little information was given. The only information that was shared was a part of the synopsis that referred to Lori’s character Abigail Stanton.
That preview stated, “Abigail has a profound conversation with a dear friend from the past.” Before Lissing was announced he was joining the GAC Family show there were many guesses. Moreover, not someone who has died.
However, on Tuesday, Entertainment Tonight revealed Lissing’s role. He will be reprising his role as Jack Thornton. Yes, the very Mountie that died off-camera on When Calls The Heart Season 5. In addition to announcing what role Daniel Lissing will play, they included a photo. It is of a stunned Abigail Stanton staring at a Mountie. The photo only shows the back left shoulder of a man in a Mountie uniform.
Could this be ghost Jack? We are going to assume this. Moreover, he is only going to be in one scene, in a cameo appearance.
Lissing was quite happy to be reunited with Loughlin. “I’m excited to be invited to participate in the season 2 premiere of When Hope Calls. I’m also very much looking forward to meeting the When Hope Calls team and to be working with my friend Lori again.”
The premiere of When Calls The Heart Season 2: A Country Christmas Parts 1, 2 will be on Saturday, December 18, at 8 p.m. Eastern. Although this is a small role, Daniel Lissing has another role for GAC Family. He will be in a 2021 Christmas movie.
A Christmas Star Is Daniel Lissing’s Christmas Movie On GAC Family
Daniel Lissing will be starring in A Christmas Star, along with Sara Canning.
In this movie, an astronomer, Madeline Baggett, searches for life beyond Earth. Moreover, when she believes she has found it, she convinces her boss to allow her to travel to a small hamlet in Upstate New York where the scientist hopes to capture a once-in-a-lifetime event.
With refractors, telescopes, and a small film crew in tow, Madeline arrives and sets up in Summit Ridge. However, this is where she meets widowed National Park Ranger Ryan Sparks and his young daughter, Celeste. Subsequently, with Ryan’s help, Madeline begins to chart the celestial event which brings the pair closer to finding love under the stars.
The premiere of A Christmas Star is on Sunday, December 12, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
