Rumors have been flying around the internet that former Bachelorette Katie Thurston is dating one of her former contestants. That contestant is John Hersey. If it were true it would make sense, at least logistically. Both Katie and John live in San Diego. She has hung out with him often since moving there. Plus, they also hung out before her season finished airing when she would take trips to California. So, is there something going on so soon after her split from Blake Moynes? The Bachelorette went to Instagram to share a story that may have just answered everyone’s burning question. Is Katie Thurston dating John Hersey? The two have been spending tons of time together, including a trip to Disneyland.
The rumors sparked when Katie posted a photo of flowers she received. The note read that the flowers were not romantic but just because she deserved to be happy and this person wants to see her happy. Many believe the flowers were from John. Others believe Blake sent the flowers. Katie purposely blocked out the name on the card. Either way, the internet has been going nuts with speculation.
Katie has been doing her best to keep busy as she navigates through her breakup with Blake. She has even had friends visiting her in California. Plus she even revealed good ol’ Aunt Lindsay is coming out to see her. Remember, Lindsay caused quite a stir during her time on Katie’s season. Memes were made about Aunt Lindsay and Emily Moynes even joked around about Thanksgiving fun with Thurston family.
Today’s Instagram Story shared two video pics. One was random and of the first time Katie and John hung out post-filming. The next showed them both in separate photos playing cards. The song playing in the background was “Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend.” Katie captioned saying, “Y’all getting wild in my DMS.” She included a laughing emoji. So, are they just best friends?

Blake and Katie were together for six months. They chose to split after coming to the conclusion that they were not compatible life partners. They issued a joint statement when they parted ways. The two are reportedly still in touch and continue to support each other.
