Carlin Bates & Evan Stewart Take Layla To The Hospital: Is She Okay?!
Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart recently had to take their daughter, Layla, to the hospital. The little girl will turn two in January but has already had several health concerns pop up. They even took her to urgent care recently. What is going on with Layla, and is she doing okay now?
Though new episodes of Bringing Up Bates aren’t currently airing, fans get to keep up with the Stewart family in other ways. The couple is very active on social media, and they post regularly on Instagram. They also upload weekly YouTube videos to keep fans in the loop.
In response to the couple’s latest video about Layla’s health, fans are commenting positive words, hoping that the little girl’s tests come back well. They also hope that the family will share another update soon.

Evan films himself as the family walks into the children’s hospital, reminding fans that Layla had an appointment a few weeks ago. Since the toddler is so petite, the doctors wanted to do some testing to ensure she doesn’t have any underlying issues. He and Carlin point out that they are both smaller, more petite people too, so that could explain it. However, Carlin adds that the doctors have been monitoring her growth and that it seems “stagnant.” So, that’s what prompted the trip to the hospital.
Carlin explains that they are going to have a few tests done to look for thyroid issues and see if there is anything they can do to help their toddler grow and stay healthy. After the appointment, the parents talk about how sad it was to see Layla get her blood drawn. To keep her occupied, they called family members, watched a show, and sang together. The proud parents applaud their daughter for being “so brave.”
It will be a little while before Carlin and Evan get Layla’s results back. But because they are so active on social media, fans may find out what’s going on pretty soon. Evan promises to keep everyone updated.
