‘General Hospital’ Rumors Swirl: Is Ingo Rademacher’s Jax Leaving Town?
If the latest General Hospital spoilers are accurate, viewers will soon see the character of Jasper “Jax” Jacks depart Port Charles. Neither Rademacher nor the show have confirmed this development yet. However, rumors suggest Rademacher already wrapped up his last scenes.
Jax Seems At A Crossroads
If indeed Rademacher is exiting General Hospital, it may not be all that challenging for writers to accomplish. The last that viewers have seen, Jax is single and at odds with plenty of people in his inner circle. The relationship between Jax and Nina seems irreparable, and his connection to Carly is always a complex one. Sonny has remembered who he really is, and returned home, and that development essentially left Jax with little to do at the moment.
Even the latest General Hospital spoilers from SheKnows Soaps suggest there is little to nothing for Jax to do in the immediate future. Not a single teaser made available for the first two weeks of November mention Jax. That doesn’t prove the rumors are true. However, it perhaps signals Rademacher’s absence from any upcoming hot storylines.
Ingo Rademacher Has Been Outspoken
Rademacher had been at the center of chaos over the past few months. His personal convictions, particularly regarding COVID-19 and the vaccine for it, have at times been at odds with those of his General Hospital co-stars and some soap fans, and he hasn’t held back in letting people know he disagrees with them. As he noted a few months ago via Instagram, he believes “Mandating any vaccine is wrong.” So he is not anti-vax but he is strongly in agreement with freedom of choice not mandated vaccines.
In early October, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) noted via Twitter that General Hospital started mandating the COVID vaccine. In fact, she stated GH was the “ONLY Daytime Soap that has required that all performers, staff and crew be vaccinated.” In her opinion, this was a major positive, as she added, “@GeneralHospital continues to lead with integrity.”
General Hospital Fans Are Busy Speculating
General Hospital fans may have to wait a bit to see whether Rademacher really is leaving the show. Some supposed insiders claim he’s already taped his last scenes, and that the character may even end up with a low-key off-screen departure. Granted, Rademacher left General Hospital before. Soaps In Depth noted he started playing Jax in 1996 and left in 2000. He returned in 2001 and stuck around for a decade before leaving again. In 2019 Jax returned and writers incorporated him into heavy-duty storylines.
If Jax is quietly leaving Port Charles soon, it sounds as if it may be an open-ended exit. If Rademacher is departing or has already wrapped up his time on General Hospital, it seems confirmation of that exit should emerge soon.
