Could Blake Moynes be the next Bachelor? Keep reading for more information about the latest rumor taking Bachelor Nation by storm.

Blake Moynes, Katie Thurston end relationship

Fans cheered back in August when final rose holder Blake Moynes popped the question to Bachelorette lead Katie Thurston. Viewers thought the two were a perfect match, despite their late start. (Moynes joined the dating competition weeks after the other suitors.)

However, it appears the romance wasn’t meant to be. In a surprising twist, Blake and Katie released identical statements to their respective Instagram accounts on Monday, October 25.

Less than three months after their engagement aired on national TV, the Bachelor Nation fan-favorites were done. Neither has spoken out on the exact details of the split, though sources blame the distance of living in separate countries as one reason, per Us Weekly.

Many Bachelor Nation alums reached out to show support following the breakup.

Sources spill on ABC’s plans for double Bachelor seasons

If the rumor circulating the internet is correct, there will be two seasons of The Bachelor in 2022. ABC has yet to official confirm, but it’s been widely reported that Michelle Young’s suitor Clayton Echard will headline Season 26 of the long-running reality show.

According to Reality Steve’s sources, the network is shaking up the franchise. If the rumors are true, a second Bachelor season would follow Season 26 instead of a new Bachelorette season.

Furthermore, the source confides that Bachelorette may make the permanent move to the fall TV season.

Could Blake Moynes be the next Bachelor?

Reality Steve admonished fans that the second Bachelor season wouldn’t start filming for four months. But that didn’t stop fans from speculating on who the network might choose.

Several fans took to Twitter to bame-drop Blake Moynes as a possible lead for Season 27.

Other named bandied about include Tyler Cameron and Michael Allio. Allio was a fan-favorite pick for Season 26, but the network went in an entirely different direction by choosing someone no one had even met yet! Reportedly, Clayton Echard’s season began filming before Michelle Young’s season even started airing.

Another possibility is the franchise breaking the mold by bringing Colton Underwood back as the first gay lead. He was previously on The Bachelor as the lead for Season 23. Underwood came out on Good Morning America in April of 2021.

  1. NO WAY! Blake has had too many chances already!! Sooo sick of seeing his face!! Plus he is not even a citizen here, he is Canadian. There are much much more deserving men who deserve their chance to find love! Michael Allio or Greg Grippo would be a great choice.
