Katie Thurston made a huge move in September. The television personality uprooted from her life in Washington state to make the solo move to San Diego, California. Wait, why is she living single?
While Thurston is still engaged to final rose pick Blake Moynes, the two are living separate lives for now. This is due to Blake being a Canadian citizen. The two haven’t decided yet where to move together to plant roots.
To delay matters, Moynes spent the last few weeks in Africa on an educational trip for his wildlife management career. According to Katie Thurston, the two were supposed to reunite in Canada on Saturday, October 23.
The day before that, Katie Thurston made her stage debut in a comedy show.
Bachelor Nation star nervous ahead of gig
Katie Thurston is used to being on camera, both on TV and on TikTok. But telling jokes in front of a live audience was out of even her comfort zone. Before Katie’s debut, Whitney Cummings posted a video of the two backstage. Thurston reposted the video on her own Instagram Stories.
In the clip, a visibly nervous Bachelor Nation star whispers, “What the f***” to the camera, sending Cummings into a fit of laughter.
Katie Thurston had several supports in the audience, including fellow Bachelor alum Tammy Ly.
The second photo below shows the moment Katie took the stage. In the third photo, a proud Katie celebrates facing her fear, “I did it!”

The Bachelorette lead shared two clips of her comedy debut. In the clips, she’s telling a bathroom joke. However, her tendency to spatter swear words into her vocabulary make the clips NSFW.
During this particular part of her set, the TikTok sensation talks about people who won’t go to the bathroom at work. The punch line of the joke is that if you go to the bathroom at work, you’re literally getting paid to do s**t.
Could the gag tie into one of her famous TikTok videos about pooping her pants at work? Only people in attendance know that, as we haven’t found any clips of Katie’s entire segment.
