Whitney Way Spotted Wearing New Ring and Fans Have Questions
On Tuesday, Whitney posted a photo on her Instagram that was initially intended to show off the true color of a dress that fans had been asking about. While she had their attention, she also took the time to clear up the answer to another question she had been getting lately.
The MBFFL star had been spotted in several recent photos wearing a new sparkly ring on her left hand. Fans were quick to ask if this was a new engagement ring. Whitney has alluded to spending time with a new love interest, though we don’t know much about him.
Other fans asked if it was a gift to herself, or perhaps a present from a friend or relative.
Question after question rolled into her Instagram comments and so, Whitney decided to share the story behind her ring and what it means to her.
A Gift Of Love Is Passed Down
In her post, Whitney Way Thore finally decided to address the ring, telling her fans exactly where it came from. “And because y’all always ask,” the celeb wrote, “this ring (which is on my right hand), was recently given to me by my mother.” Whitney continues with her explanation, sharing that the ring that her mother had given to her – originally belonged to Whitney’s grandmother.
Whitney’s maternal grandmother passed away when she was just a toddler. She gave the ring to the celeb’s mother to hold on to until Whitney was old enough to care for and appreciate it. Now, as a flourishing adult, her mother passed down the ring from her grandmother. It was her last gift to Thore before she passed.
The gorgeous ring features four round diamonds, set in a gold band. It definitely has a lot of sparkle. Fans in her comment section were quick to tell her how beautiful it was on her. In just over a day, the TLC celeb’s post has been liked by more than 52,000 people.
