Netflix series Locke and Key has been renewed for Season 3 ahead of debut of Season 2

On Friday, October 22nd, Locke and Key returns. Netflix continues as a powerhouse with this original series. Locke and Key happens to be at the top of their list. When it debuted back in February 2020, viewers went crazy. Of course, with Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez behind the pen, what more could you expect? Netflix nailed it. 

The Wait is Almost Over

Netflix knows how to build tension. This company knows the formula and they have perfected it. Produce a killer show with amazing writing, find the right actors, and shoot the film. Next comes the trailers/teasers, release day, and binging. Flocking to Netflix to find the latest gem is the norm. Waiting for the upcoming Seasons sucks. For instance, 18 months have passed since the release of Season 1 and here we are. Well, October is finally here.

Locke and Key Season 2 Debut

Well Key Heads, the wait is almost over. Locke and Key will debut Season 2 on Netflix Friday, October 22nd. As a result, new keys, magic and villains await. With a few new faces, this season is bound to be a success. The Locke family is back and so is Dodge. And he has evil plans for the fam. So now that we know a little about Season 2, what about Season 3.

Locke and Key Season 3: Locked In

Season 3 for Locke and Key was approved in December 2020. Although there is no release date set, it will surely happen after Season 2 debuts. Netflix knows it has a winner. The network intends to keep the magic and the supernatural coming. Based on the comic book series written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez. There are 7 books in the series. That is to say, Netflix has a lot of material to pull from.

What’s in Store

So we’ve been waiting and wondering. What’s in store for the Locke Family? Will there be new villains? Will their mom find out just what her kids are doing? At this point, these questions are a mystery. However, Netflix released the new trailer and some of those questions are answered. There will be new keys, which means, new magic. There will be a new villain. This means new drama. And the creatures are darker, therefore more danger is ahead.

In summary, get your binging snacks and comfy chairs ready. There are 10 episodes in Season 2. Which makes this the perfect weekend binge-watch. October 22nd on Netflix promises to be epic.
