‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Update: Are Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Still Engaged?
The season finale of Bachelor in Paradise aired Tuesday night and three couples got engaged. One of those couples is Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile. Everyone knows it’s been roughly three months since the couples have been in hiding. Therefore, things can change and have in the past. So, are Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile still engaged?

Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt were one of the strongest couples on the beach. The only issue they really had was Joe’s ex, Kendall Long, showing up and wanting him back. It didn’t work out in her favor and Joe and Serena continued their romance. He proposed on the finale and yes they are still engaged today.
They have been sharing photos together on social media and talking about their future plans. They haven’t decided exactly where they will call home together. However, they do know the most probable locations will be one of three choices. Their top 3 choices are Chicago, Toronto or New York. In the meantime, Serena and Joe plan on splitting up their time between Chicago and Toronto.
Joe shared the news with US Weekly. He said, “Right now, we’re splitting time between Chicago and Toronto, and then we are planning on moving in together in the spring.” Joe continued, “We’re deciding between probably three locations, either Toronto, Chicago or New York. We’ll figure it out.”
Serena also added, “We’re definitely excited to take that step in the relationship and, you know, we both love the East coast, but it’s kind of whatever makes the most sense for us personally and professionally at the time.”
How did Serena’s parents react to the engagement?
Serena also shared how her parents reacted to the news that their daughter was engaged. She said, “I think shock was the first emotion, definitely shock, but I mean, we have a great relationship.” Serena continued on saying, “They’re very loving and supportive and as much as I would say, they’re still a little bit shocked by all of it — I mean, it’s just very unconventional — [but] they’re just excited to be a part of it and be able to share it now with their family and friends and get to know Joe more.”
Joe said her family is wonderful and a lot like his. When they told them the news she said her parents were saying you’re engaged to a stranger. Joe said that’s the difficult part because they don’t know him. He went on to say they are slowly building a relationship.
