Nothing can hold those Teigen ladies down. Food Network new special, Getting Spicy with Pepper Teigen
promises a whole new tasty facet to the Teigen family dynasty.

Pepper Teigen’s new Food Network special is airing on Saturday, November 6th. This show follows Pepper’s extraordinary success as a cookbook author.

Thai food is her oeuvre, and Pepper shares the knowledge with people who love healthy Asian cuisine.

About Pepper Teigen

Getting Spicy with Pepper Teigen showcases Pepper and her family with an inside look at how they cook and eat.  The half-hour special is executive produced by Chrissy Teigen on behalf of her production company Huntley Productions.

The matriarch of the family, Pepper Teigen, always had a passion for creating eas Thai recipes for her entire family, which she first shared in her New York Times best-selling cookbook, The Pepper Thai Cookbook: Family Recipes From Everyone’s Favorite Thai Mom.

From her book biography:

Whether she’s frying up a batch of her crispy-garlicky wings for John’s football Sundays or making Chrissy her favorite afternoon snack—instant ramen noodles with ground pork, cabbage, scallions, and cilantro—Pepper Teigen loves feeding her family. Through these 80 recipes, Pepper teaches you how to make all her hits. Influenced by Thailand, California, and everywhere in between, Pepper’s mouthwatering recipes and sharp sense of humor will satisfy anyone craving a taste of something sensational.

According to the book liner notes, her famous daughter Chrissy is a huge fan, and she said: “I’m SO proud of Yai and all of the hard work she put into making this book come to life. It has all of my favorite recipes that mom used to make for us growing up, like chicken satay and papaya salad, as well as modern twists on classic Thai food like pad thai Brussels sprouts and nam prik moo sloppy joes! We hope you love it and make sure to tag mom @pepperthai2 when you make these new recipes!”

Food Network enlisted Pepper and her eldest daughter, Tina Teigen, to share stories from when the Teigen sisters were young while making a feast inspired by family recipes filled with the delicious flavors of Thailand.

Also, in the half-hour special, we see Pepper’s grandchildren, Luna, Miles, and Pasha, join their “yai” (grandma in Thai) in the kitchen to learn how to Get Spicy with Pepper Teigen.

“I’m so excited to share my family’s favorite recipes that we’ve been making and eating for a long time,” said Pepper Teigen in a press release sent to TV Shows Ace. “I can’t wait for viewers to see how easy it is to make Thai food at home, and after they try these recipes, I know that fish sauce will soon be the new ketchup and pantry staple!”

Pepper makes a delicious Tomato, Bacon, and Corn Salad with a spicy kick, then its caramelized Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, or as Tina likes to call them, “Thai Tacos” – a family favorite.

Then,  she will put a twist on the classic chicken larb, using fried chicken. After returning home, grandkids Pasha and Luna help whip up some refreshing Pineapple Soft Serve.

The New Special Premieres on Saturday, November 6th at 12 pm ET/PT on Food Network and will stream on discovery+
