A new Netflix sitcom titled  Pretty Smart has a release date that is fast approaching. Young & Hungry fans may be happy to see Emily Osmet returning to the streaming services. Keep reading to find out the release date and more for Pretty Smart.

What we know about Pretty Smart

Two days ago (September 13), Netflix uploads the preview page for their up-and-coming sitcom, Pretty Smart.  The series is a Netflix Original comedy sitcom from the creators Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand. Interestingly, the directing duties are “split between Pamela Fryman and Jody Margolin Hahn,” reports What’s on Netflix. According to their site, the new series is about a book-smart girl named Chelsea. Apparently, “she discovers she has a lot to learn about happiness when she’s forced to move in with her bubbly sister and three roommates.”

The cast list has the series starring Emily Osmet from Young & Hungry and Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana. Viewers may recognize British actor, Greg Sulkin from Runaway. Interestingly, he’s was on one episode of Young & Hungry with Emily, so it’s likely if these two have chemistry- that’s why. Lastly, Netflix lists Olivia Macklin. The release date is quickly approaching

So when can you catch this cast in action? Netflix recently drops the official trailer for Pretty Smart. The series will be available for streaming worldwide starting Friday, October 8. While it’s common for the first season of a traditional sitcom to have at least 22 episodes, Netflix’s format is 10 episodes that last for half an hour.

When it comes to the likelihood of additional seasons, it’s hard to tell. For starters, What’s on Netflix notes Netflix’s “rocky history with sitcoms.” However, there seems to be a glimmer of hope. Pretty Smart was in production for three months. So, there’s a good chance that they filmed for than the first 10 episodes.
