The feud between Below Deck Med alum Hannah Ferrier and Season 6 star Captain Sandy Yawn is back on. As fans know, Sandy fired Hannah in Season 5. Bosun Malia White came across the former chief stew’s belongings when they shared a bunk. She felt bitter that Hannah refused to bunk with Christine “Bugsy” Drake so Malia could be with her ex-boyfriend Chef Tom Checketts.

Malia noticed that Hannah had an unregistered prescription for Valium and a CBD pen on board the yacht. She took photos of the evidence and sent them to Sandy. The captain felt like having these items on board was a maritime law issue. As a result, she let Hannah go in the middle of the season.

The two have been feuding throughout the media. It doesn’t look like they will be friends again. Sandy addressed anxiety in a recent issue of Below Deck Med. Hannah found it laughable even though she hasn’t been keeping up with this season.

Their Below Deck Med feud is back on

Most Below Deck Med fans haven’t moved on from Season 5. They vowed to boycott Season 6 since Sandy and Malia returned to the show. However, the drama on this season has them tuning back in. Some couldn’t help but notice the tension now occurring between Malia and Sandy.

Earlier this year on Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister, Hannah said that Sandy picks favorites. Ever since they first worked together on Season 2, they could never get along. Hannah claims that Sandy was “competitive” with her and wanted her off the boat. After Hannah’s podcast, Sandy clapped back by comparing her work to those who work in the service industry.

  1. Although I liked her, Hannah had a habit of not following rules and lying about it. Hannah was a chief stew for years and new protocol re prescription drugs and reporting them. She failed to do so. She also had other run ins with Captain Sandy wherein she was wrong. Remember her anxiety attack – relieved from duty for a day or so because Sandy cared. Then when an opportunity came to be off the boat with guests for an hour or so (after being down with others doing her job), she was gone for hours. She flirted and spent time with a guest – then lied about that too. She became lazy – delegating work, not always pitching in, etc. She was slacking and anyone could see she was burnt out on yachting. She should accept responsibility for her actions and continue to move on.
