Kevin Can F**k Himself

Love the AMC dramedy Kevin Can F**k Himself? You’ll be very happy to hear that Season 2 is officially happening.

TVLine reported the exciting news about the renewal. AMC has picked up Kevin Can F**k Himself for Season 2. What exactly do we know about the season so far?

Kevin Can F**k Himself Season 2 Will Arrive in 2022

Fans will have a bit of a wait on their hands when it comes to the new season. It will not arrive in 2021. That’s not all too surprising. Even without the pandemic protocols that networks have to follow right now, there simply wouldn’t be enough time to write, film, and edit the episodes before the end of the year. The release is set for sometime in 2022, with an exact date still to be determined.

All episodes will air on both AMC and AMC+. AMC+ is the streaming platform for all AMC-owned networks. Fans can watch AMC network programming, along with shows from Sundance Now, Acorn TV, Shudder, and much more. This is the place for A Discovery of WitchesCreepshowMy Life Is Murder, and all the other shows you’ve put off because of owning too many streaming platforms already. Yes, The Walking Dead and its spin-offs are also available.

Kevin Can F**k Himself Season 2 will have eight episodes just like the first season. The renewal is good news considering the cliffhanger ending to the first season.

What Is the Series About?

Kevin Can F**k Himself isn’t about Kevin at all. The series focuses on Allison McRoberts, played by Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy, the sitcom wife that is usually viewed through the eyes of the lead characters. This time, the sitcom wife steps up as the lead character, giving fans a chance to see the world of a sitcom through the woman. There are certainly more TV shows that offer a little more for the women now, but very few focus almost solely on the lead female.

Eric Petersen plays Kevin McRoberts, a man-child who is completely self-centered, just like all the other sitcom husbands viewers have come to know and love. He’s punching way above his weight when it comes to Allison, and he doesn’t even realize that she’s done with the life he expects her to have. Allison gets out of the confines of the life Kevin has created for her neighbor Patty’s help.

The show switches between Allison’s POV and the traditional multi-camera filming. It’s a complete story, giving us everything Kevin can see and everything really happening for Allison.

AMC Networks’s president of original programming, Dan McDermott, only had good things to say about the series with the renewal. He commended it for the unique storytelling, giving fans the sitcom wife as they’ve never seen her before.

Kevin Can F**k Himself is available to stream on AMC.
