Katie Thurston isn’t done making big changes in her life. She got engaged to Blake Moynes during the season finale of The Bachelorette. The couple is still working out the details of their relationship. For the time being, Katie is moving to San Diego. However, her next life change has nothing to do with her new fiance. What HUGE life change is Katie Thurston planning next?
From Single to Engaged
When Bachelor Nation first met Katie Thurston, she was a single woman looking for love with Matt James. She didn’t find love with the Season 25 Bachelor. However, she did impress ABC execs, who hand-picked her as the next Bachelorette.
Blake Moynes also wasn’t having much luck finding love in the franchise. He tried to find it with Clare Crawley and then Tayshia Adams during the show’s 16th season. While he was at home, licking his wounds, he was spellbound watching Katie on Matt’s season. He knew he could possibly find real love with the outspoken TikTok sensation.
So, he arrived in New Mexico, where The Bachelorette was filming and begged Katie to give him a shot. Luckily for both of them, she did. They ultimately ended up falling in love. Blake proposed during the season finale and Katie happily said yes.
Katie and Blake Travel to Canada
Now that the finale has aired on TV, the couple can go out in public together. One of their first stops was a trip to Canada. But first, they took a pitstop at the gorgeous Niagara Falls. Katie shared a hilarious video on Instagram of her and Blake getting drenched on the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Katie joked that it was more rain than she’s used to even in notoriously rainy Washington state.
As fans of the show know, Blake is a Canadian citizen. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario, which is near Toronto.
Katie Thurston Plans to Make THIS Huge Change Eventually
Blake Moynes is an avid animal lover. In fact, he has a job in wildlife management. Katie recently revealed her childhood dream of being a vet. She even got accepted into Washington State University to pursue her goal. However, she chose to go to a community college instead.
Katie teases several projects in the works with Blake involving animals. But one fan wanted to know how far Katie is willing to go when it comes to animal products in food. More specifically, does the Bachelorette star plan to become a vegan?
Her answer may surprise you. Katie replied to the comment saying that, yes, she does plan to change to a vegan diet eventually. She also spilled that her former suitor John Hersey is helping her make the switch.
