Kendall Jenner has to pay up a $1.8 million lawsuit. The supermodel skipped out on a fashion shoot, but it’s not what you think. She didn’t bail out of sheer disinterest or because of her anxiety. Her team blames COVID-19 for this reason.

However, that could still cost the brunette beauty. She could pay $1.8 million for the mistake. Italian fashion brand Liu Jo claims the KUWTK star “breached the agreement” of their contract. She signed a contract to work with the company and to appear in their ad campaign.

Why the world’s highest-paid supermodel could pay for this costly mistake

Kendall Jenner still got to travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Somehow, the virus stopped her from showing up to work. The Italian fashion brand sued Kendall for $1.8 million for allegedly skipping out on their scheduled photoshoot. It’s unclear whether she failed to notify them about not attending the shoot.

Kendall signed on for two photoshoots, but only appeared for one. The fashion brand claims they have “suffered considerable financial harm and damages” due to her disappearance. Now it looks like the model is going to pay. Kendall was said to appear in their F/W 21-22 shoot. Since she was a no-show, they lost $1.8 million for that shoot alone.

According to the court documents, Liu Jo claims they paid Kendall $1.35 million for the shoot that she did not appear to. As a result, she “breached the agreement by failing to meet her obligations.” Even though Kendall hasn’t been paid, she is expected to fork over the money. Liu Jo has worked with several high-profile models in the past and has never been treated like this before.

Kendall caused controversy before with her modeling career. Some of her fellow models think she doesn’t work as hard as they do. Critics claim that Kendall got her career handed to her because of her momager, Kris Jenner. Earlier this year, Kendall caught controversy for her 818 Tequila brand.

Kendall Jenner deals with crippling anxiety while modeling

The superstar remains unbothered by the lawsuit on social media. Kendall Jenner took to Instagram to share content about her 818 Tequila brand and her Vogue Spain cover shoot. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, she shared some photos of herself scantily clad in a bikini.

Kendall has also talked about struggling with anxiety while modeling. Earlier this year, she revealed in a video series with Vogue that her anxiety was so bad in 2016 that she would “wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks.” They came on after Kim Kardashian’s burglary during Paris Fashion Week. The 25-year-old model uses marijuana to help treat her anxiety.
