In the world of The Witcher, silver is prized. However, did wearing a Witcher pendant help one Olympic athlete win gold? Maybe! Here is the story of ROC shooter Vitalina Batsarashkina, a Witcher Superfan. She loves it so much that she wears pendants when she competes!

Olympian Wears Witcher Pendant, Wins Gold

On Saturday, ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) Vitalina Batsarashkina won a gold medal in the 10m air pistol. She won the competition wearing a Witcher pendant around her neck. Wearing it around her neck must have been the special touch.

This was the first gold medal for ROC.

Batsarashkina is one of the athletes from Russia but is technically not competing for them. That is because Russia is serving a two-year doping scandal. That is why the ROC was formed, and she could compete.

Vitalina Batsarashkina Won Silver In 2016 Wearing Pendant

This is not the first time this gold medal-winning Olympian wore a Witcher pendant. According to Kotaku, back in 2016, the ROC shooter, Vitalina Batsarashkina, wore an ornate piece attached to her shooting glasses. It was a sketch of The Witcher wolf medallion.

In addition, in case you may have done a double-take, she also wore a silver Witcher wolf pendant, on her pants. She wore it as she competed and appropriately got silver.

Olympic athletes like Batsarashkina wear ornamental jewelry, tattoos, or another personal talisman. It is pretty cool to be wearing one that is so special to other fans of The Witcher Netflix series, video games, comics, and original books by Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski.

When Will Netflix Drop The Witcher Season 2?

The Witcher Season 2  premieres on December 17, 2021. There promises to be a lot of action, as Geralt (Cavill) will be working with Ciri (Freya Allan). Unfortunately, at Witchercon, Henry Cavill confirmed there will not be any bathtub scenes. However, he does promise a lot of “man-flesh.”

What will the second season be about? According to the trailer, we see Geralt tell Ciri “When I say run, you run. And when I say hide, you hide.” He is training and preparing her. Soon, they encounter real danger. Throughout the first season, Geralt focused on his effort to fulfill the Law of Surprise. This bound him to the young orphaned heir of Cintra, Princess Cirilla.

Now, he brings her to his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. Geralt, the wise man knows that this is the safest place for them to go to.

Although Geralt is devastated at the loss of Yennefer, he is a man of action. He has work to do. However, in the trailer, we do not see Yennefer until the very end. Can we assume she is alive?

Netflix has warned that much will happen with the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons. They are fighting to be at the top. Subsequently, Geralt’s problem is with Ciri. Inside of her is a mysterious power.
