Todd Chrisley ‘Not Afraid Of Lawsuits’ Amid Being Sued For Slander
Todd Chrisley reveals he isn’t afraid of lawsuits amid being sued for slander and defamation of character. During Episode 145 of Chrisleys Confessions, Todd kicks things off in a big way by immediately addressing the fact that he is being sued for slander and defamation of character by Amy Doherty-Henize. He, however, admits he is far from afraid of someone filing a lawsuit against him. In fact, he sees lawsuits as a form of sport. He looks forward to sitting at the table across from whoever has decided to sue him.
Wait, why is Todd Chrisley being sued?
Todd Chrisley explains that a few “rag mags” found the court documents involving the recent lawsuit against him. And, he wanted to correct some poor reporting on what’s actually going on. As those who have been following this story know, Todd and Julie sued Joshua Waites a few years ago. Joshua Waites was the boss of Amy Doherty-Henize who has now sued Todd Chrisley.
Todd revealed that some media outlets are reporting that Joshua Waites resigned from his job. The Chrisley Knows Best star clarified that Waites was actually fired from his position.
Todd explained: “He got fired for lying on his application.” He added that it had also been discovered that Joshua had committed multiple felonies.
The reality TV star is ready for this lawsuit
The Chrisley Knows Best star admits the lawsuit against him makes little sense because nothing he has said about Amy Doherty-Henize has been false. So, technically he hasn’t slandered or defamed her character. In fact, he admits he has receipts to prove everything he’s said was true.
He insists nothing he posted on social media about Amy or the case was posted without being heavily vetted for the truth.
Todd Chrisley makes it clear during his podcast he’s not afraid of being sued. He considers participating in lawsuits to be a form of sport. He welcomes the challenge if someone wants to come after him. But, Todd Chrisley urges them to bring receipts because he definitely will.
