‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Another Recast Shakeup First Spencer Now Avery?
General Hospital rumors and spoilers tease a recast shakeup is on the horizon. Is Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) going to be the victim of SORAS?! General Hospital viewers have watched Ava and Grace Scarola grow for just shy of a decade. How old will Avery be when a new actress steps into her place?

Avery became the recipient of a teddy bear recently. The stuffed animal contained the voice of Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) voice. Now, most assumed Ryan was involved. It, however, is actually Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), who was also the recent victim of a General Hospital recast shakeup, that was the actual problem.
Now, GH spoilers floating around suggest a second recast shakeup is about to happen. According to Celebrating The Soaps, “storyline issues” are being blamed for the recast. Turns out, Avery may need to be a bit older for the storyline to progress in the manner they want it to.
GH viewers saw Avery speaking with her sister Jocelyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) recently. She was discussing all of the people that have exited her life. This included losing her father, stepfather, and grandfather. There are even more changes on the horizon for Avery. And, she’s sure to have thoughts and opinions about these changes. So, the “powers to be” have decided it would make sense for this character to be a little older when expressing her thoughts and opinions.
Avery Corinthos: Getting a new stepfather?
General Hospital spoilers tease things are about to change for Avery once more when her stepmother Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) gets married to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). A new stepfather is sure to startle and confuse Avery. The question remains: What is going to happen with this storyline that presents the need to age Avery? Could the purpose be to give the illusion that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been away for an even longer period of time?

One of the biggest theories as to why this General Hospital recast shakeup could be happening is simple. Perhaps Ava and Grace Scarola got another job somewhere else. It is possible the girls just aren’t as available as they need to be, so the “powers to be” were forced to recast the role.
Every other child within the Corinthos family has been aged rapidly at one point in time. Like the recent Spencer Cassadine recast replacing soap darling Nicolas Bechtel with newbie Nicholas Alexander Chavez. So it isn’t too much of a surprise that the “powers to be” are preparing to do the same to Avery. General Hospital may have more teen storylines for summer which is par for the course on soaps.
