The Season 6 premiere of Below Deck Med did not go without a hitch. Chef Mathew Shea went M.I.A. before for the first charter. The chef was ready to work until the following day. He found himself with a bum knee and a bundle of nerves.

Chef Mathew told Captain Sandy Yawn that he couldn’t cook. His medical emergency had the entire crew scrambling to make dinner for primary charter guests Terez Lauren and Lee Percenti. Sandy even arranged to have a sous chef from a nearby boat to help with cooking dinner. However, that left the charter guests upset and sick to their stomachs.

Who are Terez Lauren and Lee Percenti?

Below Deck Med fans aren’t sure what to think of the first charter guests. Charter guests from hell were a common theme on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2. So, they’re not looking forward to seeing how these charter guests react to not having a chef on board. Captain Sandy had no choice but to allow Chef Mathew to go on medical leave.

He had to undergo an MRI for his knee injury. The crew worked together in the galley to make sure that the charter guests are happy and fed. Still, it wasn’t enough. Terez Lauren and Lee Percenti had a talk with Sandy after dinner and said it wasn’t five-star service.

While it’s unclear whether they’re married, the couple shares a baby together. They love to travel the world and spend time at sea with friends and family. Interestingly enough, they’re not all over social media. Both Terez and Lee have LinkedIn profiles that reveal they love to spend a lot of time and dedication to their work.

Terez works as an account executive while Lee is a client services coordinator. He currently works as a managing partner at Percenti Hospitality. It’s clear that the couple wanted to enjoy a well-deserved yachting trip with friends and family.

Is the first Below Deck Med charter canceled?

Terez and Lee were not happy with the way the food was presented. After one taste, they felt nauseous. Also, the couple wanted a neon-themed birthday party, but that didn’t happen either. The interior and the deck teams were too busy making dinner together in the galley.

The steak was chewy and dry, while the lobster wasn’t cooked well. Sandy is usually concerned about delivering a five-star meal. She had no choice but to do what she had to do to serve the guests food. The Bravo star had to face the pair when they criticized the food and service.

Does that mean the charter will end up getting canceled? Fans will have to tune in to find out. Below Deck Med airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. You can also watch new episodes streaming now on Peacock.
