Greg Grippo Non-Flattering Meme Gets Attention From Fans, Katie & His Sister
A meme began floating around Wednesday that featured front-runner Greg Grippo. The meme was shared by Chatty Broads which features Bachelor alum Bekah Martinez. Controversy arose over the post when it got some attention from fans and even Katie Thurston. What is going on?
Greg Grippo Meme is getting a lot of negative attention
The meme showed Greg with his head on his hand from a clip obtained from Monday night’s episode. US Weekly shared the meme which read, “When the guy next to you is getting interrogated about wanting to be the bachelor and you’ve gotta pretend to be disgusted while hiding your acting career aspirations.” The meme refers to Greg Grippo wanting to be an actor. He actually attended William Esper Acting School.
Here’s where it gets interesting. The Bachelorette Katie Thurston liked the post. However, it got lots of attention. So, Katie later unliked the post. However, screenshots had been taken by many before she deleted her like.
Then, it got even stickier. More screenshots were obtained that indicated Greg’s sister, Samantha, came to his defense. She said, “@thekatiethurston likes this post but was such a supporter of removing the toxicity and mean girls when she was on Matt’s season, you’d think if those intentions when [SIC] genuine she’d had just as much of an issue with this post as well. Really disappointed in this.” The comment has since been deleted, but not before screenshots were taken.
Bekah told fans to calm down. She “IT’S A JOKE PEOPLE, I WENT ON THE SHOW 4 CLOUT TOO OKAY.” She continued, “I JUST HATE GREG.”
A front-runner
Greg has been a front-runner for the first three episodes of the show. Katie gave him her first impression rose. He also got her first one-on-one date. Fans have been loving on Greg. However, some fans have been questioning if Greg could be too good to be true. Enter this meme for one.
As for Katie, she hasn’t revealed her season ending of course. However, she has said, “You know, I’ve come to learn that everything happens for a reason. And that being said, I am happy, yes.”
