In the photo, Jinger is sitting on the couch and her legs are very visible. She’s wearing pretty short shorts, and fans can clearly see her thighs.

One fan writes, “Whoa – for a daughter of JB and Shelley, that’s a lot of leg. Nice to see her so comfortable with herself (and you).”

What do the Duggars say about modesty?

Fans of the Duggar family know that the girls are expected to dress modestly. They wear skirts and dresses rather than pants. This is something that most of the Duggars adhere to, but as some of the girls have gotten married and began living their own lives, they have started dressing differently.

Jinger isn’t the only one who’s started wearing pants. Jessa Seewald, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Jill Dillard, Jana Duggar, and others have been spotted wearing pants instead of skirts or dresses. As far as we’ve seen in photos, it looks like most of the kids at home still follow the family’s modesty guidelines.

Jinger Vuolo is doing her own thing

As we’ve reported before, this isn’t the first time that Jinger has worn shorts and other clothing that’s less acceptable in her parents’ eyes. By now, fans know she’s old enough to make her own decisions. She’s been rocking tank tops, shorter dresses, and more. Fans seem to be proud of her for finding her own style and figuring out what works for her.

She has talked about her decision to wear pants and dress differently from the rest of her family. In her book, she wrote:

“My mom had always dressed us girls in skirts and dresses, a standard that was taken from Deuteronomy 22:5, which says, ‘A woman shall not wear a man’s garment,’ (ESV) and I never really questioned it. Modesty was a huge topic in our house, and we believed that wearing skirts instead of pants was a central part of being modest. But I wanted to discover for myself what the Bible had to say.”

She adds that she reflected on her parents’ modesty guidelines and that “my convictions were changing.”

So, what do you think of Jinger Vuolo’s new style? Do you like that she’s figuring things out for herself? Let us know in the comments below.
