Kelly Jo Bates Describes Latest Baby Health Scare
Kelly Jo Bates adores kids, as evidenced by the 19 that she produced. In fact, she inherited her love for kids from her mom. So, when her sister Beth suffered some pregnancy complications, a worrying time arrived for her. The Bringing Up Bates star talked about it on Instagram this week and said her nephew arrived very early. How is the little boy and her mom doing after a health scare? Read on to find out.
Kelly Jo Bates experienced some health issues
If you watch Bringing Up Bates on UPtv, you know that recently, the mom of 19 kids ended up with surgery. The whole Bates family worried about her recovery. So, when it comes to family, large ones seem very nice. After all, everyone wanted to make sure their mom got the best attention. Her daughters help look after her and she feels like her surgical procedure might make the world feel like a better place for her. In the show, fans saw that Kelly said that the discomfort during recovery is much better than her concerns with acid reflux.
Kelly Jo Bates knows how it feels to fear for her own health. However, the loving mom also worries about the rest of her family. This time, she worried about her sister Beth.
According to the Bates Family Blog, at the age of 50, her mom adopted a child, Beth. A year later, she also adopted Beka. Fans saw them on the show when the sisters “shared a sentimental moment.” Well, it’s Beth who suffered a health scare recently.
Health scare for sister Beth and her baby, Bryson
No doubt, with the extended family of Kelly Jo Bates around to care about Beth, she felt a lot better. Taking to her Instagram on April 30, the Bringing Up Bates matriarch described the worrying time for Beth. The UPtv star shared a few photos of Beth with her baby, Bryson.
In the gallery, one slide revealed that her sister, Beth Miller-Cobel suffered from preeclampsia. So, doctors performed a C-Section. Fortunately, the preemie seems okay, though. Kelly said in her caption, “my precious little newest nephew Bryson was born last week at 2lbs 15 oz.” Notably, “little Bryson came 8 weeks early.”
While Beth experienced blood pressure issues, she got over it but Kelly Jo Bates said that “Baby Bryson is still in NICU, but is getting stronger daily!” She also said that her sister makes “the most beautiful babies ever!” Apparently, Bryson also has siblings, Braylon and Gracie. So, Kelly “can’t wait for little Bryson to get to go home.” Additionally, she reached out and thanked everyone who prayed “for Beth and her family.”
In the comments section of the post by Kelly Jo Bates, fans who also suffered from preeclampsia talked about their own experiences. Some of them described their experience as miraculous as they and their babies survived. Hopefully, little Bryson keeps fighting and soon goes home with his mom, Beth.
