Unfortunately, Octavia’s weight loss story begins with tragedy. She had a troubled childhood. Sadly, she grew up in an abusive home. The Cinamaholic reports that her stepfather was abusive towards her mother. Devastatingly, the report also states that Octavia is also a molestation survivor.
By the time Octavia Gahagans is 20 years old, she weighed over 500 pounds. Sadly, just three years later, Octavia’s mother passes away. This leaves her to take care of her sister Desiree. However, Desiree eventually marries and leaves home. At this point, Octavia tips the scales around 700 pounds.
Luckily, it seems that things turn around for Octavia at this point. She ends up seeing renowned weight loss doctor Younan Nowzaradan at his clinic in Houston, Texas. With the help of Dr. Now and her own self-motivation and dedication, Octavia Gahagans loses a remarkable 236 pounds. This brings her weight down to 456 pounds.

Not only does Octavia Gahagans stay true to her new healthy lifestyle, but she starts her own business. Octavia’s brand is called Crayons and Chains. From the looks of her Facebook, Chains and Crayons is a jewelry brand. Not only does Octavia promote her brand, but she also promotes other small businesses on her Facebook. For example, she regularly gives shout-outs to her nail technician.
Notably, Octavia is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. However, she seems to reside in Houston, Texas now. The Cinamaholic speculates that Octavia is in Houston now to be closer to Dr. Now. The source further claims that Dr. Now monitors her health “now and then.”
