Former ‘Bachelorette’ To Appear On ‘Celebrity Dating Game’
ABC is bringing another popular game show out of the vault – The Dating Game. But with a twist. The updated version will feature celebrities as the bachelor or bachelorette seeking love. One contestant on the new dating show already has experience as a Bachelorette.
How The Celebrity Dating Game Works
The original Dating Game premiered on ABC in 1965. After the network canceled it, the show moved to syndication, where it went through three reboots, with the last one ending in 1999.
In early incarnations, some celebrities did appear as guests on the show. There is also a long list of contestants who later became famous, including Farrah Fawcett, John Ritter, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The premise of the show is three contestants competing for a date with the bachelor or bachelorette. The lucky winner is chosen after answering a series of questions. The bachelor or bachelorette typically doesn’t see the contestants until the end of the show.
The latest reboot will follow that format, with a few additional twists. For one, the contestants don’t know that the bachelor or bachelorette is a celebrity. For another, co-host and executive producer Michael Bolton will sing clues about the celebrity throughout the show.
New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is the other host.
The Celebrity Dating Game will air on Mondays, following episodes from the new season of The Bachelorette.
Bachelorette Alum Seeks Love Connection on The Celebrity Dating Game
As Bachelor Nation fans know, Katie Thurston will look for love as the next Bachelorette. But she won’t be the only alum looking for love on Monday nights. Season 15’s Hannah Brown will appear on The Celebrity Dating Show.
Her relationship with final rose pick Jed Wyatt ended shortly after filming The Bachelorette. She has since been the center of many dating rumors, including one about Tyler Cameron.
Wait, What? Isn’t She in a Relationship?
Fans of Hannah Brown may be confused about why she would appear on a dating show when she’s in a relationship. She’s been dating model Adam Woolard since at least February. In fact, they even starred together in a music video.
There’s a simple reason for Hannah Brown’s The Celebrity Dating Game appearance – she was single at the time. The show was likely filmed in 2020, long before she met her current boyfriend.

Michael Bolton Reveals Two Other Celebrity Contestants
Michael Bolton was a guest on Entertainment Tonight this week to promote his new show. In addition to a reality show alum, the new show will feature celebrities from other entertainment genres.
Yahoo! Entertainment reports that actor Taye Diggs and musician Iggy Azalea will also appear on The Celebrity Dating Game. Diggs split from Broadway star Idina Menzel in 2014.
Azalea shocked fans in 2020 by announcing she had given birth to a son with ex Playboi Carti. However, she made it clear at the time that she was single.
