90 Day Fiance star Paola Mayfield delivered some very good news to her followers, as she is officially a citizen of the United States. The reality television star took to her Instagram page to deliver the good news.
“Today I had the honor to become an American citizen,” she wrote in the caption. “I’m very proud and grateful for everything that this country has given me.”
In the post, she put a short video showing what she managed to earn by going through the process. In addition to the Instagram post, the reality star also put up a video on YouTube. Indeed, that video showed the process she went through.
It also appears the 90 Day Fiance star is sticking to her roots while becoming a United States citizen. In addition to the caption in English, she posted the announcement in her native tongue.
90 Day Fiance Star Gets Support From Her Husband
Not long after Paola posted her video, her husband Russ lent his support. Some fans of the show might remember that the couple are among the most favorite from the first season of 90 Day Fiance. As is often the case with cast members from programs like this, people were once worried the two wouldn’t be able to make it work. It turns out they have.
“Happy for you,” Russ wrote. “This is a big step and a decision you have not taken lightly. I’m beyond proud of you and extremely grateful to have you at my side.”
One fan, who likely noticed that Paola did indeed write in both English and in her native Colombian, asked what the process was like. Specifically, they wanted to know whether she could carry dual citizenship.
While Paola did not respond directly, other followers were quick to provide information. Several pointed out they had dual citizenship in both countries.
Big Week For Big Star
Getting her United States citizenship was just the latest in what has been a big week for the 90 Day Fiance star. When she’s not been appearing on reality television, the new citizen has been working on her wrestling moves.
Earlier this week, she took to social media to make another big announcement. This time around it was the fact that she’s going to be making her debut as a professional wrestler.
The 33-year-old reality star will assume the character of Paola Blaze when she makes her debut on May 1st for Magic City Wrestling Federation (MCWF) in Miami. Former WWE Superstars Carlito, Primo & Epico and Chris Masters are also booked for the show.
Her road to the ring has been an unusual one. The 90 Day Fiance star used to be a show designer. However, it appears she’s ready to get started on her brand new career.
