Kaitlyn Bristowe skipped right past the cliche April Fool’s Day jokes about a pregnancy or engagement. She went straight to abject HORROR in an elaborate hoax on boyfriend Jason Tartick.
The Bachelorette alum documented each stage after her April Fool’s Day prank went off without a hitch. She hilariously released the text message chain from her cohorts, one of whom almost pulled the trigger a day early.

Kaitlyn Bristowe turned one of a celebrity’s greatest fears into a hilarious prank on her boyfriend. Anyone who uses social media can relate to the horror of accidentally posting a photo or message that wasn’t intended for the public’s eyes.
In Kaitlyn’s prank, the photo in question was a NUDE photo accidentally posted by Jason Tartick… or so he thought!
The Dancing With The Stars champ enlisted “25-30” people in her scheme. To set up her joke, she sent Jason a nude photo of herself the night before. The next morning, her accomplices all sent texts to Jason, indicating that a NSFW photo of Kaitlyn was posted on his social media.

As a true social media queen, Kaitlyn secretly videotaped her boyfriend’s reaction to each step of the prank. The two were on Facetime when Jason started receiving the texts. His initial reaction was to exclaim “Oh, my God!” and hang up on Kaitlyn, E! Online reports.
She posted a video on her Instagram Story of another Facetime call. On that call, an enraged Jason asks, “WHAT’S ON THERE?” about his Instagram.

She let her man fear the worst for a good ten minutes before copping to the prank. Kaitlyn then shared a video on her Instagram feed detailing the elaborate prank. In the caption, she gave Jason a shoutout for being such a “good sport” about the joke.

Bachelor Nation Reacts to Prank
Bachelor Nation alums were ROLLING in the comments over her genius April Fool’s Day joke. Becca Kufrin wrote that she “just peed a little” watching the video.
Even Jason himself showed up in the comments to lavish praise on his girlfriend. He suggested that Kaitlyn needs her own prank show. But he “wants nothing to do with it.”
Kaitlyn and Jason recently celebrated their two-year anniversary. Kind of. She wrote on Instagram that, as an unmarried couple, they don’t have a date to celebrate… yet.
There were rumors that Jason planned to propose during Kaitlyn’s run on DWTS. That never happened, and fans are eagerly awaiting news of engagement.
