Tammy Slaton of 1000-Lb. Sisters fame is having a rough year. When the show’s second season ended, fans learned Tammy needed serious help. We last saw the TLC star onscreen battling COVID-19 and seeking treatment in a professional facility designed to help people her size. But even through all the chaos, Tammy still tries to engage with fans on social media. She recently got a new hairstyle and had fun showing it off for everyone to see.

It appears Tammy got a new perm. She recently revealed the new style in an Instagram video. Her followers know she battles mental health issues, so changing her hair seemingly lifted her spirits.
Many fans praised Tammy’s new style and had plenty of nice things to say. Many of the Slaton sisters’ fans believe that Tammy struggles with feelings of jealousy, and those only got worse when Amy had a baby last year. In the past, Tammy revealed she dealt with mental health issues by eating. Changing her hair could be a positive sign that she’s learning to channel her feelings in a different way.
But in spite of everything, Tammy Slaton insists she isn’t jealous of her sister. During a TikTok session, fans wanted to know if Tammy felt jealous that Amy had a baby and received a lot more attention these days. Tammy quickly shut the situation down. She says she didn’t seem very excited about the baby in the new season because she didn’t feel well while they filmed it. Keep in mind — Tammy did have COVID-19 on top of the added health complications due to her size.
What’s next for the TLC star?
Throughout Season 2 of 1000-Lb. Sisters, fans watched Tammy Slaton struggle with her weight again and again. No matter what her friends and family members tried, she just seemed to gain weight. Fans want to see her succeed and think a little help from Dr. Now could really help. Dr. Now is the healthcare professional involved with My 600-Lb. Life.
Dr. Now doesn’t have much to say to Tammy Slaton right now, but he did tune in to one of her Instagram live sessions. All he had to say was, “Wow.” However, there is some speculation that it was a fake account.
Either way, 1000-Lb. Sisters fans really hope Tammy Slaton can get the help she needs to finally lose the extra weight. A crossover with one of TLC’s other popular shows may just be the way to do it.
