The 90 Day Fiance relationship between Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva was on the rocks almost from the beginning. Now it’s over.
InTouchWeekly reported on Tuesday that the couple split after less than a year of marriage. Oddly enough, it wasn’t either one of the reality stars that spilled the tea. It turns out it was Mike’s uncle Beau Lawrence that told the media the two were over.
“She has not been home for a couple of months now,” Beau said. “She can stay away for all I care.”
Mike’s uncle confirmed what had been rumored for a while now. There was quite a bit of talk that not only had Natalie not been “home” she hadn’t even been in the United States for a while.
When Beau was asked whether he believed the relationship between the 90 Day Fiance stars was done for good, he didn’t hide his feelings.
“I’m really hoping so. I pray to God, yes.”
If they are done splitsville permanently, it’s the last exclamation point in a turbulent relationship.
Mike, 34, and Natalie, 35, made their franchise debut on Season 7 of the TLC series. During their run, the couple documented the struggle that was getting a K-1 visa.
90 Day Fiance Stars Showed Waiting Made Things Harder
While the couple waited for the visa, things got ugly quickly. During the wait, cameras followed Mike during a trip to Natalie’s native country of Ukraine. There they clashed over topics like religion and whether they want children in the future. At the end of the trip, Mike and Natalie had a blowup.
The fight ended on the show with Natalie throwing her engagement ring into Mike’s suitcase.
When they returned for 90 Day Fiance Season 8, Mike and Natalie’s relationship was still on the rocks. They were still constantly fighting, only now the visa was approved and they were cleared to wed.
Eventually, the couple decided to give it a try, despite their issues.
Not So Happy Wedding Day
While Mike and Natalie did finally agree to get married, even that couldn’t stop their fighting. Arguments over lifestyle and belief system continued all the way up to the big day. On the planned morning of the wedding, Mike told Natalie he could not go through with their wedding and called off the ceremony.
An emotional scene showed the bride-to-be packing her things and getting ready to leave Mike for good. It appears there was a change of heart somewhere along the way. In Touch confirmed the couple did eventually get married, in Clallam County, Washington, on April 15, 2020.
A preview of the March 28 episode, Natalie ran into an issue with Mike’s credit card at a motel and returns to his home. There they are told they have 24 hours to decide whether to reconcile and tie the knot. While they did eventually reconcile, it appears their issues finally tore them apart, perhaps for good.
