Could ‘Unexpected’ Star Tyra Boisseau Still Be Dating Alex Wilson?
Tyra Boisseau and Alex Wilson of TLC’s Unexpected seem to be one of the strongest couples featured on the show. Since the show features teenagers navigating their new lives as parents, there is plenty of drama going on. The teens have to figure out how to be parents while maintaining their grades and keeping their relationships steady. Many of the teen parents fight with their own parents and significant others. It’s easy to understand why not all of these relationships last.
Somehow, Tyra and Alex have made things work so far. The couple first featured on the show during Season 3. Now, they have returned for the show’s fourth season. When Season 4 kicked off, the pair was still together. They were successfully raising their toddler, Layla. Now, fans of the show know that it’s a little bit behind on the couple’s real lives, so they’re wondering if Tyra and Alex are still dating.
On the show, fans saw the tension between Alex and Tyra as she went off to college. The distance wasn’t easy on them. During the January 24 episode of the show, Tyra said, “When you’re in a relationship with somebody for eight years, there are just certain things that get on your nerves. Not only that, but we’ve had to have a relationship long distance with each other. I can feel me and Alex starting to go downhill. But, Layla’s happiness is the most important thing to me. That’s why I’m not going to let her see any tension between me and her dad.”

As of right now, the couple hasn’t confirmed or denied whether they are still together. It’s possible that this will be addressed at some point in the current season of the show. For this reason, the couple may not be allowed to share about their current relationship status. Their NDA with TLC may prevent them from doing so.
With the distance between them, they decided to split while Tyra was going to school, which was featured on Season 4 of Unexpected. Since then, an official announcement from the couple has yet to go public. There have been plenty of rumors circulating that they have been reunited, and other rumors state that they got together for Alex’s birthday.
It looks like Alex is still able to see their daughter, as he posted a few photos of himself and Layla on Instagram in February.
