‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’: Deon Derrico Confirms Season 2?
Doubling Down With The Derricos star Deon Derrico says his family will soon be back on TLC. Back in August 2020, we met his supersized family when their reality show hit TLC’s schedule. It was a brief run of seven episodes.
However, the family warmed the hearts of viewers. So, of course, fans have been asking when the next season will air. Deon Derrico answered that this weekend in comments shared on social media.
Doubling Down With The Derricos: Las Vegas Family Of Multiple Multiples Is A TLC Hit
Doubling Down With The Derricos wrapped its first season in September 2020. Almost immediately, fans were clamoring for a second longer season. Deon Derrico and his wife Karen Derrico are the proud parents of fourteen children. They have a set of quintuplets, a set of triplets, two sets of twins, and two “singletons,” as they call their two non-multiple children.
Doubling Down With The Derricos wrapped its first season with the family dealing with one of their newborn triplets, Dawysn’s scary ER trip. Then the family was thrust into quarantine life during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns.
Deon Derrico Hints At Season 2
Doubling Down With The Derricos patriarch Deon Derrico obliged fans when they asked when his family’s show will be returning. It was on a post wishing his wife Karen a happy birthday. Fans were quick to jump on the comments to ask Deon about season 2. The new-to-reality star didn’t shy away from answering. In fact, his responses seem to leak of season 2 being closer than fans expected.
Doubling Down With The Derricos star Deon Derrico appreciates the fans’ support. He went on to say that his show is definitely coming back— and soon. So it appears the family filmed episodes and is now awaiting word from TLC when it’s ready to make its return to the schedule. Deon assured fans that he’d post the good news on his Instagram account as soon as he had the official word.
When Might Season 2 of Doubling Down With The Derricos Drop?
Doubling Down With The Derricos is one of the family shows that TLC typically airs on Tuesdays. The first season aired on Tuesdays. So it’s likely that’s when season 2 will also air. However, right now, another family reality show, OutDaughtered, just started a new season.
Perhaps when OutDaughtered gets closer to wrapping its current season, TLC will announce the return of Doubling Down With The Derricos. TLC is not known for renewal announcements or even announcing series returns more than a few weeks in advance. Hopefully, Deon lets the cat out of the bag on social media before the network makes its official announcement.
