When Calls The Heart had a massive Season 8 premiere, ratings-wise. While industry insiders and Hallmark Channel execs were likely paying attention to the number of viewers, they weren’t the only ones. Erin Krakow took notice as well.
The star of the show, who plays Elizabeth, was blown away by the ratings. She took to her Instagram to talk about how happy she was. She also went out of her way to thank Hearties who helped When Calls The Heart to set some 2021 records.
Showing a screenshot from an article divulging the big Season 8 premiere numbers, she captioned it with her heartfelt thank you.
“I am so grateful to all of you #Hearties for your overwhelming support,” Krakow wrote. “And to @hallmarkchannel for giving us the opportunity to continue telling stories from Hope Valley! And of course a big thank you to our cast & especially our crew who work tirelessly to bring @wcth_tv to life. This news fills me with joy, pride, and gratitude. Thank you.”
The actor was referencing numbers that gave her show one of the best nights of new television of the year. While 2021 is still relatively young, there’s very little doubt the Hearties are still keeping things going well.
Fans Happy To Celebrate ‘When Calls The Heart’ Success
Among the strongest numbers released about the Season 8 premiere, was the show’s chief demographic. Tons of women 18+ either watched the show when it aired, recorded, or watched it on-demand.
That same level of fanship appeared when Krakow posted her celebratory Instagram post. Chief among those wanting to share in the joy was celebrity chef Ryan McPartlin.
“Hope Valley still kicking arse!!!” He posted.
That response got plenty of fans of the show to respond that they were quite happy to see he was so interested. Others offered their own level of celebration to the post. One also explained just why the premiere had such strong numbers.
“Plain and simple…we love well written, great acted, family-friendly tv and #WhenCallsTheHeart fits that bill,” they wrote. “For 8 seasons straight.”
Celebs Celebrate Too
McFarlin was hardly the only celebrity to come over to Krakow’s social media to share the good news. Co-star Pascale Hutton made an appearance as well. The two actors were sharing in the glory of what is one of the longest-running shows on cable television these days.
Another actor, who isn’t featured on When Calls The Heart but does have a Hallmark Channel connection expressed her congratulations as well.
Danica McKellar, who is also a regular on Krakow’s page in the comments offered a short and sweet, “congrats!”
The ratings for the When Calls The Heart Season 8 premiere hint at a program that is plenty strong. A Season 9 seems a given at this point in time.
