Rachel Lindsay Suggests Huge Change For ‘ATFR’ Host

There is a lot of speculation about what will happen to Chris Harrison. The Bachelor Nation host is taking some time away from the show after his Extra interview received negative reactions. He was on the entertainment show to defend Rachael Kirkconnell against allegations of racist behavior.

Most of the remaining episodes of Season 25 of The Bachelor were already filmed. But the last word from Matt James and his final three – After the Final Rose – hadn’t taped yet. Since Harrison is taking a break, the network needs to find another person to host ATFR.

Did Rachel Lindsay Turn Down Offer to Host ATFR?

Many fans on social media are blaming Rachel Lindsay for Chris Harrison possibly losing his job. She was part of the interview on Extra. The online hate has gotten so bad that she deleted her Instagram earlier this week.

Despite the fan hate, Rachel Lindsay seems the obvious choice to host ATFR. She has hosting skills from her correspondent job with Extra. Rachel Lindsay is also very familiar with how The Bachelor works, being a former lead on The Bachelorette.

She was considering it, but she may no long want the job after the hate she’s gotten from fans.

Who Would She Choose?

If she doesn’t want the gig, Rachel Lindsay has another suggestion. She was a guest on the Bachelor Party podcast this week.

During the chat, she named Emmanuel Acho as the perfect choice, “hands down.”

If you’re not familiar – Acho is a former football player who works as a Fox Sports Analyst. Us Weekly reports that he also has a podcast Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.

He’s written a book with the same name. Coincidentally, Rachael Kirkconnell was recently spotted reading the book.

Rachel Lindsay thinks Acho would be a great host because he’s not biased. “He doesn’t watch the show, he doesn’t know the people involved. He should be there to be able to facilitate a conversation that we need to see happen.”

The Bachelor Nation alum believes the ATFR special needs to confront the racism issue with Rachael Kirkconnell and Matt James directly. Ben Higgins feels that the network also needs to address the drama or viewers will wonder where Chris Harrison is.
