Matt James’ relationship with one of his final four comes crashing down after hometown dates. Does his romance with Rachael Kirkconnell survive the night?
The Bachelor Meets the Parents
Matt James has narrowed his potential wife to just four choices. Michelle Young, Bri Springs, Serena Pitt and Rachael Kirkconnell are the last four women standing. In the Feb. 22nd episode of The Bachelor, he will meet their respective families for some bonding time. There will also be some uncomfortable questions.
In the promo for the hometown dates, Matt faces a lot of questions. His toughest critics aren’t the parents, but a (virtual) room full of kids. However, the parents aren’t cutting him any slack either. The Bachelor is bombarded with questions about his intentions: “Are you in love with her?”
Matt James Comes Crashing Down During Date With Rachael Kirkconnell…Literally
The hometown dates are about more than the third degree. He will have individual dates with each of his final four women. Because of the pandemic, he won’t be visiting any actual hometowns. His ladies will bring their hometowns to him.
His date with Rachael Kirkconnell takes a serious turn. The duo goes skydiving together. In the preview clip, it seems that Rachael Kirkconnell makes a hard landing. Will it turn him off romance with the daredevil?
Are Matt James and His Final Pick Still Together?
Major Spoilers! Do not read if you don’t want to know Matt James’ final pick.
The winner of The Bachelor won’t be 100% confirmed for a few more episodes. Next week the Women Tell All special airs. As The Sun reports, Rachael Kirkconnell wasn’t at the taping. The special was taped before the racism scandal surrounding her exploded.
She likely wasn’t there because she is one of the final three. In fact, Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve has tapped Rachael Kirkconnell as the winner of Matt James’ heart. But are they still together after the explosive allegations of racism?
In the first promo clip above, Matt James is heard confessing to one of the parents that he’s “not ready” to get engaged. So, while rumored to still be dating Rachael, they aren’t engaged. Fans will have to wait until After the Final Rose to find out the true status of their relationship. ABC has yet to announce who will take Chris Harrison’s place as host of AFTR.
