‘American Idol’: See The Stiff Competition Between Cassandra & Celeste
American Idol returned with ABC’s 4th season and completion looks very stiff. With the likes of Cassandra Coleman and Celeste Butler, less professional wannabes might find it heavy going. Cassandra already brings a lot of admiring fans because she’s quite famous on the Smule App. Meanwhile, Celeste arrives bearing a lot of successful musical endeavors. Actually, she previously sang alongside Diana Ross and Chaka Khan.
American Idol – Cassandra & Celeste strong contenders for the crown
The premiere of the ABC show brought in a talent that fans felt that exploited one contestant. And Claudia Conway went through despite Luke Bryan feeling that “Claudia lacked the necessary vocal range.” She brings a big following to the show as well. And a lot of people accused ABC of exploiting her because of her many TikTok followers. If you don’t know, she’s the daughter of Kellyanne Conway, former White House advisor to President Trump. But clearly, if a person can’t carry a decent vocal range, she might not last that long as American Idol progresses.
Competition from really good performers like Cassandra and Celeste might limit just how far the judges can carry someone. After all, Claudia’s best known on TikTok for clashing with her mom over her political stance. Meaww notes that Cassandra seems a different kind of performer. She performed The Killer’s number, The Way It Was. That impressed Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. And when American Idol judge Lionel Richie asked her to play another number on the piano, she took it away with OneRepublic’s Apologize.

Cassandra brings plenty of happy fans to the show
Cassandra, already on Sound Cloud and Smule, gained a lot of followers for her music and no doubt about 45k of them vote for her in the live rounds. Meaww notes that Cassandra’s likely to stay in the show through the early rounds. In fact, they predict: “Cassandra is in it for the long run.” However, it certainly won’t be a clear run to the bank for her. Not with the likes of Celeste on American Idol. After all, Celeste can name-drop Esperanza Spalding, Patrice Rushen, Diana Ross, and Chaka Khan.
Celeste Butler is easy enough to find online. She already warrants a right-side profile on Google search results. Talent Recap explained that “Celeste Butler…performed with artists like Diana Ross and Chaka Khan. She is also an actress and founded her own entertainment company.” The American Idol contestant helped produce Harlem South: A View Through the Lens. She also sang alongside Diana Ross and Chaka Khan at the Super Bowl. With her qualifications in music and the arts, she brings massive professionalism to the show.
Other competitors to watch for on ABC’s Season 4 of American Idol include Beane who once performed with Justin Timberlake. Bringing more to the stiff competition, he already produces his own original music.
