Becca Kufrin Reveals Feelings On Chris Harrison’s ‘Bachelor’ Departure

Chris Harrison recently stepped away from The Bachelor after saying some comments that didn’t fly with Bachelor Nation. Now, Becca Kufrin is even opening up on what she thinks about the whole situation.

Chris Harrison is taking a break from being the host of The Bachelor for an indefinite amount of time. While this leaves Bachelor Nation fans heartbroken, it also is a way for Chris to show that he wants to be held accountable for his words. He has made it clear he is using this time to get better.

“I have spent the last few days listening to the pain my words have caused, and I am deeply remorseful. My ignorance did damage to friends, colleagues and strangers alike.”

Chris continues: “I have no one to blame but myself for what I said ad the way I spoke. I set standards for myself, and have not met them. I feel that with every fiber of my being. Now, just as I taught my children to stand up, and to own their actions, I will do the same,” he writes on social media.

Becca thinks that now it’s a matter of where the franchise goes from here US Weekly says. Clearly, this is a huge thing that has happened and all of Bachelor Nation is waiting for what comes next. This includes Becca.

“The question is, at this point about the franchise, where will it go from here? It needs to move forward in a beneficial way where everyone’s voices will be heard,” Becca says. “Yes, Chris Harrison made a statement and the franchise has been saying, ‘We see you, we hear you,’ but it needs to do a better job.”

How do they do this?

Becca goes on to explain ways that the franchise could work to do better. This means including different cultures in every single level of the show. Not just who they actually put in front of the camera.

“The diverse casting and the conversations on social issues and social justice is a first step,” she says. “But if they want to practice what they preach, they need to represent different cultures and colors in all levels, from the casting producers to the executive producers to the audio techs to the casting directors.”

Honestly, Becca makes a great point. This is more than just a surface-level issue. Hopefully, Chris stepping back will set the tone for the rest of Bachelor Nation. The show definitely won’t be the same from now on, and that may be a good thing.
