Trent & Amber Johnston Still Popular Despite Spicy Scenes
Trent & Amber Johnston attracted a lot of heat from critics this season on 7 Little Johnstons. Their spicy scenes offended a lot of TLC fans. They felt that the bedroom scenes should remain private. And some people complained that it’s no longer a family-friendly show. Yet the couple still seems very popular despite that. Lots of fans really loved their latest TikTok clowning around.
Trent & Amber Johnston offended people
We reported about the outcry against 7 Little Johnstons this season. Some people said that they didn’t find the pole dancing class too much. But they drew the line at intimate conversations, cosplay, and obvious allusions to the middle-aged couple whaling away between the sheets. And one scene showed Amber rubbing Trent’s behind in a very suggestive way. Luckily, the show moved on from all of that now. So, offended people might breathe a bit easier.
In the most recent episode, fans saw Trent & Amber Johnston coping with their kids. Amber suggested that Anna take up substitute teaching. Meanwhile, Alex and Emma seem excited about returning to class. And Liz talked to her dad about driving. However even if they show more intimate scenes, some fans think people should stop complaining. In one post by @team7ljs, some of them noted that the episodes with spicy scenes came with warnings for sensitive viewers.
Overall popularity seems evident by TLC fans
On February 6, The Johnston’s account on Instagram shared a little TikTok clip. Trent and Amber danced a bit and then ended with their arms making a heart shape. 194k people watched it. Plus, their followers still number way over half-a-million people. Admittedly, the show dropped by 0.03 to 0.20 and came in at 31st on February 2. But, the overall cable numbers still outrank shows like CNN Newsroom and Fox News Primetime.
In the comments section of their post, Trent & Amber Johnston got a lot of approval. Many people, put up heart emojis and said they think the couple looks “very cute.” Other comments include:
