Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry is afraid her past poor behavior is more than she can overcome with her fans. According to The Sun, the reality TV star said she doesn’t think she’ll ever be forgiven for some actions, including punching her ex, Chris Lopez.
She made the comment while answering questions for her followers on Instagram. Kailyn was asked why she thinks she gets “so much hate.”
“I had a lot of growing up & learning to do” she responded. “Lifelong trauma I didn’t know how to deal with & it came out in a lot of negative ways. Maybe people aren’t ready to forgive me yet.”
The mother of four shares three-year-old son Lux and five-month-old son Creed with Chris. She is also the mother to 11-year-old son Isaac with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera and seven-year-old son Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin.
Last September, arguments with Chris over the raising of their children apparently came to a head. Kailyn was arrested for punching her ex several times, “with a closed fist.” The incident reportedly occurred during a custody exchange of Lux. The argument started over the young child’s new haircut.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 4 and Chris is said to have reported it immediately. He wasn’t contacted by law enforcement officials until three weeks later, according to the official police report.
Chris claimed Kailyn was angry Lux got a haircut at all. After initially seeming fine with the situation, he says she returned after putting Lux in the car and punched Chris several times.
Kailyn Lowry And Her Arrest
After the incident, Kailyn received an order to not contact Chris. Released without bail, the reality television star agreed to make all her scheduled court appearances, without incident.
Kailyn’s order to stay away from Chris works just fine for her. After the incident, the mother of four expressed interest in cutting her ex out of the children’s lives for good. During a podcast appearance, she mentioned her dislike for “inconsistent fathers.”
She added the bigger problem is with the courts when it comes to guys like Chris. “The court system would rather see a father who will come and go as they please, “Kailyn said. “In and out, inconsistencies for days, weeks, sometimes months…”
Kailyn didn’t offer new comments about the incident with Chris in the recent Instagram session. However, mentioning having some growing up to do seems to indicate she understands she handled the situation poorly.
The reality star also neglected to say how she planned on “growing up.” For their part, several of her followers replied to her claims of never being forgiven with kind words. Several fans claimed she was mistaken but they understood why she said what she did.
