Season 2 of 9-1-1: Lone Star is shaping up to be a wild one. In tonight’s episode, we see a volcanic eruption hit Austin. We also see members of the 126 try to save lives at a college pool party, a family’s mini-golf outing, as well as a woman trapped in her food truck by a horde of scorpions.
Among the adrenaline-pumping scenes, we also see Owen “Skipping out.” Owen is “hiding out” in his office when Gwyn, played by Lisa Edelstein, finds him. Gwyn confronts him to which he asks, “My name is on the door, how can that be hiding?” Gwyn does not believe him when Owen says, “I just wanted some time to savor the moment.”
Owen has heard back from his doctor some news most people would be extremely happy to hear. His tumor has shrunk and Owen is officially in remission. One would think he would be happy to hear this news. However, from the sneak peek below, that does not seem to be the case.
Rob Lowe Thanks His Fans
According to Rob Lowe, 9-1-1: Lone Star is the highest-rated drama in all of television. The Season 2 premiere saw 5.91 million viewers. This was the second-highest-rated Monday night show next to its parent series 9-1-1 with 7 million viewers.

Gina Torres Looks Scared
Episode 1 of 9-1-1: Lone Star saw the debut of several new characters. One of those extraordinary characters is Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega. Vega is played by the lovely Gina Torres who went to Instagram to promote tonight’s episode.
Gina also posted a photograph, which can be seen here, of a distressed Tommy Vega. With wide eyes and a shrug of poor exhaustion, Vega appears stunned by what is happening in tonight’s episode.
What Do We Know?
First, we have a sneak peek at a volatile volcanic eruption that is causing disaster all over the city. We see that Tommy Vega is right in the middle of the chaos. We also see Owen hiding out seemingly shut down from the news of his cancer. What else will happen on tonight’s episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star? How will Owen pull himself together?
