Jill Dillard Seemingly Shows Support For Kamala Harris
Counting On fans know that the family adheres to strict, Christian, conservative values. But it’s possible that not every grown Duggar child shares those same beliefs. It’s possible that Jill Dillard is supportive of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Here’s why.
Jill Dillard wears Chuck Taylors – what does this mean?
On Inauguration Day, Jill took to Instagram to share a photo of her shoes and a message of unity. The photo features her gray Converse Chuck Taylors.
While a photo of her shoes shouldn’t be too out of the ordinary, it’s worth noting that Kamala Harris wears Chuck Taylors. Since her supporters noticed this, they began wearing the same shoes to further show their support. So, from the photo, it looks like Jill may be showing that she’s siding with Biden and Harris.
In the caption of her post, she shares a message of unity, writing:
“No matter which side of the aisle you’re on, change can bring with it some strong feelings, especially after a crazy year like last year! At the beginning of this year, I’ve found such peace in trust. Trust in the only one who never changes, Jesus Christ: the same yesterday, today and forever!”
She also includes the lyrics to My Hope is Built on Nothing Less by Edward Mote.
Counting On star watches the inauguration
In addition to sharing a photo of her shoes, Jill revealed that she watched the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday. She wrote that she was enjoying pizza for breakfast while watching the inauguration. She was watching the inauguration via CBS News, which is a left-leaning news source.
Jill Dillard likes comment about ‘VP Harris’
In the comments section of Jill’s post, a fan writes, “It’s a historic day, especially for women and women of color. I happily welcome VP Harris. I truly hope those in government can come together and work for the people.”
This, in addition to the fact that Jill wore Chuck Taylors, seems to make it clear that she may be supportive of the new administration. It’s possible that it’s all a coincidence though. She might have simply chosen to wear those shoes and liked that a fan was talking about coming together.
