Audrey Roloff of Little People, Big World was very excited to take her toddler Ember skiing over the holiday. She posted cute pictures of Ember in the snow. She captioned it, “watch my stories for all the action of Ember’s first day shreddin’ on the mountain. My dad started teaching me to ski when I was 3 and now I get to teach Ember at the same age WITH my dad.”

She said Ember went on ten runs and the family was her cheering squad. Audrey said it was, “such a special, fun, and glute strengthening day.” In her stories she asked Ember if she was excited. The little girl nods cutely and then Aubrey starts teaching her the moves. She tells her to swish back and forth.

Audrey Roloff Says Ember Is Already Sending It

Audrey Roloff said Ember is so excited to ride the chair lift as she shared a video of them on it. The next video is a sweet one of them going down the mountain together with Ember in between Audrey’s skis. She said they are the same skis she used when she was three, but Ember is a little taller so they may need new ones. The mom joked her glutes were going to be so sore as she shared a video of them skiing to dad.

She also said they had help from papa and Uncle Jack to help take her down the mountain. Uncle Jack made a point to do some spins and tricks with Ember. She shared some stills saying kids in ski clothes are just so cute. Later Audrey said she got to do a few runs on her own while Jeremy and Ember played in the snow. She then shared a picture of her as a baby wearing skis with adorable curly hair.

She Shared Some Tips For Parents Taking Kids Skiing

Audrey Roloff shared some helpful tips on Instagram for parents taking their kids skiing. She said dress light because you will sweat. Carry them from the car to the lift so they aren’t worn out. Don’t leave sprinkle cookies and lunch in the car.

She also said at the end of the day send one parent to go get the car. It saves walking with all the gear and a tired toddler. Audrey said, “emphasize fun over teaching even if that means taking off their skis mid-run so they can do a spur of the moment snow angel.”

Lastly, she said, bring bins to put the wet snowy things in at the end of the day. It’s obvious Audrey loved teaching Ember to ski. What did you think of the Roloffs day on the mountain? Comment your thoughts below and share any tips you have for taking your toddler skiing.
