Todd Chrisley took to Instagram late last night to wish a Happy New Year to “everyone.” He clarified this included the “ass clowns” that he didn’t really care for. Now, the more cynical fans of Chrisley Knows Best can’t help but wonder if that was a dig at his estranged daughter Lindsie Chrisley.
What exactly did Todd Chrisley say on Instagram?
Well, Todd Chrisley was wishing his friends, family, and fans a happy New Year’s Day. And, he managed to squeeze in a little of that Todd Chrisley humor fans love him for.
Happy New Year to everyone , even the few ass clowns that I don’t care for , 2020 has been a b*tch but we survived it, we are stronger than we even knew.”
Naturally, a lot of people wonder who exactly he’s referring to as an ass clown. Instantly, his daughter Lindsie Chrisley comes to mind. She and Todd are not exactly close. But, we can assume he would still want the best for her. He’s even said publicly a few times he was willing to make amends with her. Though, she’s always insisted that wasn’t true. Alas, that’s the problem with family drama. There’s two sides to every story.
Remember when Lindsie Chrisley’s father had COVID-19?
Lindsie Chrisley took to Instagram to discuss her father for the first time in a long time when he had COVID-19. She was not close to her father anymore. They didn’t talk. And, they seemingly have nothing to do with each other. But, he’s still her father. Lindsie had people messaging her when her father got COVID-19 saying horrible things to her. She got upset and she blasted them for it. Sure, she wasn’t on good terms with her father. But, she didn’t want him to be sick either.
So, it certainly wouldn’t be unfounded that Todd Chrisley would wish his daughter well…Even if he seemingly doesn’t care for her anymore. She’s still his daughter. So, it could have been a dig at his daughter.
It, however, could have been a dig at his son, Chase.
Todd Chrisley has always had a playful sense of humor when it comes to his boys. So, it would make sense that he could have also been referring to Chase as an “ass clown.” Likewise, he also has two other sons it could have been about.

Perhaps the “ass clown” statement wasn’t about his family at all. Perhaps he was referring to trolls, fans, or someone else entirely. Truth is… We will probably know exactly who that was about.
Either way, we hope the Chrisley family has a lovely new year.
