Lauren Burnham Reveals How She Hid Pregnancy
Lauren Burnham has been keeping a pretty big secret. The Bachelor alum is pregnant with Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s baby! Now, she’s revealing how she kept it a secret this whole time.
Lauren Burnham keeps the pregnancy a secret
Lauren and Arie are pregnant again! However, they didn’t make that public knowledge at first. According to US Weekly, Lauren was able to use Arie’s COVID diagnosis as a cover for a bit, however, that didn’t make it any easier.
To keep things a secret, Lauren Burnham reveals that she stayed off social media. That way, fans wouldn’t find out on accident.
“It’s been so hard to keep it a secret. That’s why I haven’t been — if you guys follow me on social media — I’ve been a little bit MIA ‘cause I have a really hard time not being transparent, so I’ve been hiding,” Lauren says. “I’ve also been really sick, so that’s another reason why. I tried to, like, throw everyone off and say Arie got COVID.”
Of course, the couple didn’t lie. Arie really did have COVID. It just happened to come at a convenient time for the couple.
“He did get COVID, but also at the same time, I had really bad morning sickness, so that was another reason why I wasn’t on there much,” Lauren says.
Why is it a secret?
So why is she keeping it a secret? Unfortunately, it hasn’t been long since the couple went through a miscarriage. Because of this, Lauren Burnham suffers from a bit of PTSD. It’s hard for her mentally to tell people about the pregnancy. However, this time the pregnancy seems to be going well and there are no complications.
“I had to wait the whole time this time just for my mental state, to make sure everything was good,” she explains about the pregnancy and why she kept it a secret.
The pair shared the good news with fans on Instagram this weekend.
“It’s hard to know what to say right now,” Lauren writes about the announcement. “I’ve been crying on and off for the past 3 months…right now is no different. So so grateful.”
Honestly, they are going to be such great parents again. It will be exciting to watch their pregnancy continue!
