The highly anticipated movie Tenet got released today and Netflix subscribers are wondering if it will hit the streaming library. Likewise, most are wondering where they can check it out of Netflix isn’t an option. So, we’ve done a little digging. Here’s everything we know about the movie and where you can watch it.

What is Tenet, anyway?

First things first, let’s address the elephant in the room. What is Tenet, anyway? Well, we know a lot of people have already seen the movie prior to today. There were a lot of people who didn’t let the COVID-19 pandemic stop them from hitting the theater to check out this movie. There, however, were some who were not willing to risk it.

This science fiction action thriller stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Elizabeth Debicki. The film focuses on the concept of “reverse entropy.” For those unfamiliar with the phrase, it is the concept of both people and objects moving backward instead of forward.

Some have insisted this is Christopher Nolan’s most complex and comprehensive movie to date. Now, the question remains. Where can you stream Tenet? Is Netflix an option?

Is Netflix or Hulu an option?

The Decider reports Netflix and Hulu subscribers should not hold their breath. The movie Tenet is unlikely to ever be a part of either streaming libraries. Why? Well, because the movie is owned by Warner Bros. And, Warner Bros. owns HBO Max. So, if the film goes anywhere for streaming… That is where it is going to end up.

So, how do you stream the movie?

With Netflix and Hulu out as options for streaming Tenet, you are probably wondering where to turn. Unfortunately, this is a pay to play situation right now. While the pandemic and streaming services have made the release of movies a little messy… This is a fresh release. So, it is your typical run-of-the-mill DVD release. Short of going to the story and buying a DVD, you’ll have to buy or rent a digital copy.

Because it is a new release, it is going to be a little on the more expensive side. The price, however, will go down as more time passes. Amazon, Vudu, iTunes/Apple TV, Google Play, Microsoft, and FandangoNow are all options for getting your hands on a digital version of this movie.

Do you plan on renting or buying Tenet? Or, will you wait to see if the movie hits HBO Max at a later time? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
