Duggar family doesn’t watch TV
Now, people watching Christmas movies in general isn’t newsworthy. The Duggar family doesn’t watch TV or movies often though. Most recently, Jim Bob revealed that the family watches select “wholesome” shows and movies. The family also watches football games, as shown on social media.
When Jim Bob and Michelle first got married, they had a TV. Jim Bob explains how that affected their marriage, saying, “Communications dropped off, we weren’t talking as much and we couldn’t believe the content on TV we didn’t think was appropriate. This is detrimental to our marriage. We prayed about it and felt we had to pull it out of our house, which we did. And I would say that is one of the best things we have done for our family.”
Does Jill Duggar have a TV?
In the past, Jill has been open about her family not having a TV. She and Derick typically watch shows and movies on their laptop. It’s unclear why they haven’t bought a TV, but it’s likely because of her family’s opinion on TVs.
Based on the snap that Jill posted on Instagram, it looks like the family still doesn’t have a TV. They use the laptop the same way they would use a TV. So, some fans wonder why they don’t buy a TV.
While Jill and Derick still don’t appear to have a TV, they are watching shows and movies more often than the rest of her family seems to. To some fans, that’s a big deal. Fans are happy to see the pair figuring things out for themselves and deciding what is best for their family.
